THOMSEN GROUP

Vita Prof. Bernd Thomsen.
(Founder of the THOMSEN GROUP)

Prof. Bernd Thomsen is a German citizen, he was born on February 24th in 1962.

As management chairman and CEO Prof. Bernd Thomsen leads the
THOMSEN GROUP International Strategy Consultants Estd. 1984 (in short: TGISC®).
The THOMSEN GROUP is the first group that stands for whole, market-strategic, top management consulting. It has its headquarters in Hamburg and boasts a network spanning an additional twenty countries.

Almost thirty years ago Prof. Bernd Thomsen founded one of thousands of companies in Germany. The initial situation, no coworkers and no clients working only with an old typewriter whose keys tended to stick and an answering-machine that was not registered with the post office, more than explains Bernd Thomsen’s skeptical expression when Holger Nissen of the telecommunications office knocked on his door. His preliminary fear that this unexpected visit was on account of the unregistered answering-machine was quickly forgotten in light of a small advertising account. Holger Nissen was in charge of public relations for German postal service. The first client was on board!

Thirty years later the internationally operating TGISC® is global market leader: no competitor in the world offers a similar symbiosis of management or strategy consultation, communication consulting and market research institute consistently implemented in a consequent 5P-System®. The THOMSEN GROUP specializes in market innovations. It creates solutions for the future, which immediately guarantee the clients market leadership, attractive yields and considerable values. By way of the worldwide unrivalled 5P-System®, TGISC® determines how people will live in 2030. And what the clients‘ customers expect of it today. The THOMSEN GROUP therefore creates product designs, price strategies or distribution solutions. This system is even being taught at universities. Incidentally, renowned institutions such as the European Business School (ebs) or the US American Stanford University rank TGISC® among the top "future-oriented" consultants (and initial client is still on board today now under the new name: Deutsche Telekom).

Taking it one step at a time:

After finishing his studies in medicine and marketing in 1984 Bernd Thomsen founded the first corporation of the THOMSEN GROUP as its initial stakeholder. Subsequently he developed several different operational systems. In 1987 Bernd Thomsen published among other things the operational system/model “Pross®”.

Prof. Bernd Thomsen holds constant lectures on these topics and is a welcome interview guest in radio and television broadcasts. Bernd Thomsen is the author of numerous publications and actively conceives and mediates top management seminars and workshops. His consulting emphasis is market strategies as well as the 5P-System®, which focuses on product development, price strategies, placement solutions, communication/presence and human-capital strategies. In this position Bernd Thomsen among other things advises corporations for more than twenty years like the Deutsche Telekom, the Banco Santander, the Allianz Group, PAYCHEX New York Inc., the chinese Sany, the japanese Panasonic, i.a.

In the same year Bernd Thomsen founded a charitable german non-profit organization, where he is the chairman of the executive committee. The organization is a donation fund for children, which has already raised over 20 million Euro and decrees a trust property of 7,8 million Euro.

On october the 7th, Bernd Thomsen is assigned for a professorship at the faculty SP Jain. It is specialized in business studies and was founded by the Educational Trust which was supported by Mahatma Gandhi who was the leader of the non-violent resistance in India against the British colonial rule. The institut is named by the family Jain, to which the intended CEO of the Deutsche Bank Anshu Jain belongs as well. The name is also well known by the Indian religion called Jainismus. The basic ideas of this religion are non-violent behavior to any creature and truthfulness in all actions. The teaching assignment is declared as visiting professorship.

*The 5P-System®:
The THOMSEN GROUP determines how people will live in 2030 by way of the TGISC® international future research,
TrendMonitoring®.
By way of LiveResearch®, the authentic research of TGISC®, which also analyses complex non-verbal forms of expression of the filmed interviews, the THOMSEN GROUP determines the results of the future research, which the (current and/or future) clients’ customers want to know today.
This gives rise to the following: strategic product development (product) and development of the price strategies (price), distribution solutions (placement), communication – usually media presence – (presence) and the integration of the involved people, from policies to sales (people).
This creates solutions for the future, which immediately guarantee the clients market leadership, attractive yields and considerable values.
